Pineapple & Banana Smoothie

This smoothie is one of my personal smoothies to help with the body’s natural detoxification process. Pineapple has enzymes that help to ease digestion, suppresses inflammation, and contains vitamin A, vitamin C, beta-carotene and many others! Bananas are known to be a great source of potassium, but they also improve kidney healthy, have powerful antioxidants and improve digestive health.

 

Pineapple & Banana Smoothie


Gluten free, dairy free, free of refined sugars, and vegan friendly. Add the optional ingredients and you have a marvelous beverage to help with digestive issues. I usually drink my smoothies for breakfast, however, this smoothie is perfect to drink anytime during the day!










MAKES: 1 SERVING PREP: 5 BLEND: 1-2 MINS


INGREDIENTS:

· 1 Cup Frozen Pineapple

· 1 Banana

· ½ Cup Spinach (Or 1 Cup if you like!)

· ½ Cup Kale (Or 1 Cup, only if you have worked up to it)

· 1 Cup Almond Milk

· 1 Cup Coconut Water


These Ingredients are optional, however, I do recommend that you try them. They help clean out your gut, which leads to clearer skin!


· 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar

· 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds or Flax Seeds


METHOD:

1) Blend the almond milk, coconut water, spinach and kale together first. Blend till all the greens are fully blended.

2) Add the rest of the ingredients. If you would like it thicker, just add some more frozen pineapple!

3) Next, grab a mug, maybe throw a straw in it and voilà! Drink and enjoy!
